In the mid 1970's, the BBC needed a small loudspeaker to monitor broadcasts in tightly confined spaces. Parts changes by suppliers led to a re-design of the LS3/5, designed by the BBC Engineering Department in the early '70's and thus the LS3/5A was born. It became one of the best known names in the history of loudspeakers.
Fast forward about 40 years. Paul Graham, who has spent over 20 years in all areas of the recording and broadcast industries, noticed that most of the various BBC designed products were failing with age and he hated to think that their classic sound would be lost forever. It became clear that the only solution was to get BBC approval to manufacture them himself. He did.
Graham Audio now manufactures loudspeakers that run the gamut from small, intimate monitors to full-range floor standers to the VOTU (System 3D?) which can meet the demands of the professional user as well as the serious home enthusiast.
