We provide any remaining manufacturer's warranty if applicable. In addition, aside from any shipping damage in transit to you, we will guarantee the proper functioning of the equipment for 7 days from the day of receipt. Should there be any shipping damage in transit to you that would of course be covered by the shipping insurance. Having said that, shipping damage is a rare event as we are almost always using full original manufacturer's boxes and packing. Note that used equipment listings change frequently and some items sell very quickly, so please contact us for the latest status to ensure that the item you are seeking is still available. Obviously there is only one of each listing so first come, first served!
Equipment listed is either:
  • DEMO (D) equipment (usually full manufacturer warranty, usually like new, except for any minor cosmetic blemishes)
  • USED (U) equipment (often a good bargain if you don't need the very latest model),
  • CONSIGNMENT (C) equipment (we are selling for the owner)
  • NEW (N) equipment (full manufacturer warranty, unit was never sold, usually sealed but occasionally may have an open carton)
CONDITION GRADING
  • New: Unopened Factory shipment
  • 10/10: Mint - Essentially never used, factory fresh appearance
  • 9/10: Excellent - Perfect physical condition, light use
  • 8/10: Very Good - Perfect front face, 1 minor flaw on top or side is acceptable
  • 7/10: Good - 1 or 2 minor scratches, looks used but well maintained
  • 6/10: Fair - 3 to 4 minor scratches, or 1 major scratch, appears used
  • 5/10: Average - Multiple scratches, including some on the front face
  • 4/10: Mediocre - Rough physical condition, but all functions work perfectly
  • 3/10: Poor - Rather beat up, but all functions work, maybe a knob is missing
  • 2/10: Very Poor - Beat up, bent knobs or switch levers, some functional problems
  • 1/10: Shot - For parts use only
Note: As we have been a Spectral dealer since 1984, we tend to get in used Spectral components on a semi-regular basis. The reason is that they are usually being sold on consignment as they are being replaced by current generation components--or they are being traded-in on current generation Spectral components. Also some used equipment doesn't even get listed as it is spoken for before it even comes in.
