Danish Audio Loudspeaker Industry. It's known world wide by its acronym, DALI.
Founded in 1983 by Peter Lyngdorf, an innovator in many areas of audio reproduction and room acoustics. It was created as a speaker line for Audionord, a Scandinavian distribution channel of high end audio productsBased in the tiny town of Norager, Denmark, Dali now manufactures nearly twenty lines of loudspeakers with a wide range of size, performance and price points. Despite the number of offerings, this is not a mass produced product. Each speaker is assembled by one person, who is responsible for its quality. Once completed, it is computer calibrated to ensure sonic consistency.
Dali developed their own material for midrange and woofer cones, reinforced with wood chips, giving them their unique look and color. Their speakers are also easily recognized by the tweeter configuration of a dome plus a ribbon.Hand crafted and custom designed, Dali always has the audio enthusiast in mind.
