Object-based (or 3D Surround) is, to the vast majority of Home Cinema enthusiasts, a very new phenomenon. It turns out that the French were on to this in the early '80's. The founders of what would become Trinnov in 1983, had started research into high resolution 'spatial audio' in 1980.The name stems from"Tri " for Tri-Dimensional and "Innov" for Innovation which clearly demonstrates their focus on developments in immersive sound. 3D playback doesn't happen spontaneously. It requires careful attention to detail at every step which is why Trinnov processors are involved in production, mixing and playback in film (as well as music) studios and are now available for your home systems. Trinov has been involved in research for decades and their inventions are protected by over 50 patents. Their technical capabilities are beyond question but what truly matters is the experience that awaits you with their electronics at the helm of your system.
