Japan has been the home of some of the world's finest phono cartridge manufacturers for decades. Many of them have had one common element; Mr. Yoshio Matsudara. After over forty years of designing cartridges, phono stages and tonearms for others, he founded My Sonic Lab in 2003. His first releases were a high-output, low-impedance moving coil cartridge and a matching MC transformer stage. His SH-µX material has allowed him to reduce the number of coil windings, thus maintaining low internal impedance without sacrificing output level. All of this results in the exceptional low-level resolution for which My Sonic Lab has become famous. Extracting fine detail is the goal of every vinyl playback system.
