Since bursting on the scene over 15 years ago, Magico has been setting standards by which other loudspeaker companies are often judged. From the very first production speakers which were the massive stand-mounted two-way "Mini" and the eight foot tall, nearly entirely horn-loaded, 1000 pound colossal "Ultimate", the range of offerings has pushed the envelope mightily. But they have moved far beyond their very impressive initial products from the early years.
Magico started using aluminum enclosures in 1994 and has refined an internal framework, using the same principles utilized in airplane and automobile construction. Add complex constrained layer damping and you have a cabinet with virtually no discernible coloration. Hand selected materials, innovative manufacturing techniques and advanced analytical methodologies result in loudspeakers of singular musicality. Great energy has gone into cabinet design in order to (ironically) eliminate energy storage and audible resonance.
All of this takes place in their new 30,000 square foot, San Francisco Bay area facility where a team of highly trained craftsmen, technicians and machinists, are all dedicated to one task: creating fine loudspeakers that faithfully reproduce recorded music.
A history of technological development, a continuous series of accolades in the audio press and enthusiastic owners, leave little doubt that Magico will remain at the forefront of loudspeaker manufacturing.
