The world of a record groove is microscopically small. Determining the amount of power needed to correctly control the cavitation effects in order to not damage the groove modulations takes time and repeated examination. Extensive experimentation revealed that adding counter-rotating microfiber covered barrels permits a dramatic reduction in the amount of ultrasonic power required while also moving released contaminants into the liquid where they can be filtered. This prevents them being re-deposited on the record surface. A carefully formulated surfactant makes the distilled water a better solvent which again enables a lessening of ultrasonic power. The addition of a fluid filter and air filters completes the package. It seems so simple when it's clearly explained. If only it had been simple to develop. We're glad that they put in the hard work.
