If you wish to have a full size headphone which will offer great sound quality then there are only a small number of manufacturers to chose from. Abyss is certainly one of those select few that offers true high end headphones.
Given that, then you need to choose between open back and closed back. Closed back is the way to go if you wish to isolate yourself from outside noise as well as not let other people around you hear the music emanating from your headphones. Alternatively if you are listening in a quiet environment you might wish to choose open back headphones for the way they sound and image. Reason being it is a somewhat different experience listening to open back as compared to closed back. Of course if you listen to headphones regularly you can always have a pair of each type if you wish. And many people do have both types to fit their mood and circumstances.
Another aspect that is important with headphones is that they be comfortable for long term listening. Of course the only way to know that is to try them on for a while. That is why we have a dedicated headphone listening room here at the store so you can try out different models for yourself. You are welcome to bring your playlist and listen for as long as you wish to our various headphones in order to ensure that you are making a proper decision as to what model is right for you.
